Nigerian Midfielder Yussuf Signs For Saudi Side Al-Fateh

Nigerian midfielder Marouf Yussuf has completed his transfer to Saudi Arabia side Al-Fateh.

The 25-year-old joins Al-Fateh after canceling his contract at Egyptian Premier League giants Zamalek.

Yussuf and Zamalek officials reached an agreement to cancel the one year remaining in his contract thus paving the way for him to move to Saudi Arabia.

He joined Zamalek from fellow Egyptian side El Shorta in 2014 and went on to win a league and cup double with the club in 2015.

Marouf Yussuf also helped the club win the Egyptian Cup last season.

He made over 150 appearances for Zamalek in all competitions.

Yussuf was invited to the Super Eagles squad ahead of last year’s 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa but didn’t make the matchday squad as the Bafana Bafana secured a surprising 2-0 win over Nigeria.
