Enyimba Board Members Pass ‘Vote Of Confidence’ On Chairman Anyansi-Agwu

The board of CAF Confederation Cup representatives, Enyimba FC of Aba, has passed a Vote of Confidence on club chairman, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu during a board meeting which took place at the Club Headquarters in Aba earlier this week.

Ahead of the new season, board members praised the good job being done by Anyansi-Agwu despite the team’s predicament of playing their home games at the UJ Esuene Stadium in the Cross River State capital of Calabar instead of the team’s spiritual home, the Enyimba Stadium in Aba.

One of the club directors Obioma while speaking on behalf of the other Directors in attendance via Tribune said: “I confirm that the entire Enyimba board unanimously passed a Vote of Confidence on our Chairman, Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu. Without a man like him, it would have been very difficult, if not impossible, for Enyimba to escape relegation.

“All the indices and precautions he put in place to ensure that was not the case proves that he is the man we need, and we equally give him all the support he needs for the club to achieve the next level.” he added.

In his response, Anyansi-Agwu expressed his delight on the vote of confidence that he has received from the board members and vowed to continue to do more in the coming season and beyond. He said: “I am deeply grateful to our esteemed Directors for this honour they have bestowed on me. It is a privilege to lead, and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. With your support, I am confident we will actualize all our goals, not just in this coming season, but beyond.”
