2020 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup: Nigeria To Play Ghana After 11-2 Obliteration Of Guinea

Nigeria’s U17 women’s team are through to the second round of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after obliterating Guinea 11-2 on aggregate in the first round.

The Flamingos 5-1 whitewash of Guinea at the Agege Township Stadium followed a 6-1 blowout in the first leg last week in Conakry.

Rofiat Imuran followed up her hat-trick in Conakry with the opener for the Flamingos who went into the interval three goals up with Taiwo Lawal adding a first-half brace.

Alvine Dah-Zossu and Chinyere Kalu got on the score sheet for Nigeria in the second half while Diallo Dede grabbed a late consolation goal for the visitors.

Nigeria will now face West African rivals Ghana in the next round.
