2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup (Matchday 5 Wrap): Iran, Brazil Secure 2nd Round Berth

3-time champions Brazil and Iran have qualified for the second round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in India after respective wins over North Korea and Germany on Matchday 5.

Brazil scored two goals in five second half minutes to beat North Korea 2-0 in Group D with Vasco Da Gama striker Paulinho getting one of the goals to make it 2 goals in 2 games. The result was enough to seal Brazil’s place in the next round of the tournament.

In the other group game, Barcelona B forward Abel Ruiz scored two goals to help Spain recover from their opening match loss to Brazil with the 4-0 thrashing of Niger Republic.

Iran recorded a shocking 4-0 win over Germany in Group C to secure a second round place. Esteghlal Khuzestan FC of Iran striker netted a brace to aid the Asian nation’s passage into the next stage.
