Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has reported for preseason training at his parent club Chelsea after his heroics at the just concluded FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
Omeruo impressed for the Super Eagles but was powerless to prevent the team from crashing out in the group stage.
He featured in two Group D games against Iceland and Argentina.
The 24-year-old returns to Stamford Bridge after spending the majority of his Chelsea career away from the club on various loan spells at sides like ADO Den Haag (Netherlands), Middlesbrough (England), Alanyaspor and Kasimpasa (Turkey).
Kenneth Omeruo confirmed his return to Chelsea via his Instagram handle as he said: “First day inn…work-mode #omeruo #cfc #cobham.”
Omeruo and Moses were understandably omitted from the club’s tour squad which departed to Australia on Wednesday due to their exertions at Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
