Women’s UCL: Nnadozie Stops Spain’s W/Cup Winner’s Penalty As Paris FC Beat Madrid

Chiamaka Nnadozie made a penalty save as Paris FC recorded their first win in the UEFA Women’s Champions League this season as they overcome Real Madrid 2-1 in Group D on Thursday night.

With Paris FC 2-0 up Madrid were awarded a penalty which Spain’s 2023 women’s World Cup winner, Olga Carmona took.

But Nnadozie dived to her left to stop Carmona’s left-footed effort in the 28th minute to preserve Paris FC’s lead.

Julie Dufour had given Paris FC 1-0 lead in the 4th minute before Gaetane Thiney made it 2-0 in the 6th minute.

In the 53rd minute Caroline-Sophie Moller pulled a goal back for Madrid but Paris FC held on to record their first win in the group.

After three group games, Paris FC are third on three points while Madrid are bottom with just one point.
