Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has confirmed his exclusion from England’s 23-man squad to this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia in a subtle way.
Media reports had earlier claimed Wilshere won’t be part of Gareth Southgate’s team to the tournament and the 26-year old appeared to confirm those reports via his tweet.

His tweet read as follows: “Any good festival this summer?”
Jack Wilshere initially struggled to break into the Arsenal at the start of the season but that changed some months into the season and he became an important squad player for the Gunners but that proved inadequate for him to be part of the squad scheduled to be announced by Gareth Southgate on Wednesday.
