We Want To Stay Unbeaten –Leverkusen Coach, Alonso

Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has said they want to maintain their unbeaten run.

Leverkusen took their unbeaten streak to 47 in all competitions after a 2-0 win at Roma, in the Europa League first leg semi-finals on Thursday.

They have already been crowned Bundesliga champions, ending Bayern Munich’s dominance.

Next for Leverkusen is a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend.

Speaking ahead of the game against Frankfurt, Alonso stated maintaining their unbeaten run is getting tougher.

“We want to stay unbeaten and we know every week it gets tougher. Everyone wants to beat us,” the Spaniard said in his press conference on Friday.”

Alonso said he is looking forward to a difficult game against Frankfurt.

“It hasn’t been easy in Frankfurt in recent years, it’s always a tough opponent with a flexible system of play. We don’t have much time to prepare.”
