Victor Osimhen has expressed his delight after helping Napoli progress into UEFA Champions League round of 16 stage.
Osimhen marked his 2023 CAF Player of the Year award with a goal as Napoli beat Braga 2-0 in their final Group C game on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles striker scored in the 33rd minute to put Napoli 2-0 up.
An own goal by Braga’s Serdar Saatci just nine minutes into the game had given Napoli the lead.
Reacting to Napoli’s round of 16 qualification, Osimhen wrote on his X handle:“Next Round✅.”
Napoli finished on 10 points while Real Madrid topped the group after amassing 18 points.
Osimhen’s goal against Braga was his first in four Champions League games this season.
He has now scored seven goals in 16 games in all competitions so far this campaign.
