Manchester City are through to a first Champions League final in club history after they dispatched Paris St-Germain in their semi-final second leg at the Etihad to complete a 4-1 aggregate victory.

Riyad Mahrez scored in each half to hand Pep Guardiola’s side a 2-0 win against Mauricio Pochettino’s side who had former Manchester United player Angel Di Maria sent off in the second half.

City had beaten the Parisians 2-1 in the first leg and completed a win that sees them progress to the final for the first time in their history.

It is also a first final for Guardiola since he won the competition with Barcelona in 2011.

City could face fellow English side Chelsea or Real Madrid in the final. Real travel to Chelsea on Wednesday with the tie delicately poised at 1-1.
