Former world number six tennis player Matteo Berrettini has officially confirmed that he has broken up with supermodel girlfriend Melissa Satta to focus on getting his form back this year.

The 27-year-old player ended his romantic relationship with Satta, who is 10 years older than him, after over a year of dating.

“We are not together anymore,” Berrettini confirmed in an interview with Italian newspaper Ia Repubblica this week.

Over the past year, the winner of seven ATP Tour titles has been struggling with injury. Berrettini tried to return earlier this year, but still had to withdraw from the Australian Open due to foot problems.

Previously, he spent more than six months treating an abdominal muscle injury, before quitting the 2023 US Open in the second round.
