Super Eagles Climb 14 Places In Latest FIFA Ranking

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have climbed 14 places in the latest world rankings released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).

The West Africans are now ranked in 28th position in the world.

The Super Eagles are also now the third best team in Africa.

The remarkable rise was as a result of the team’s impressive performance at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Jose Peseiro’s side finished in second position at the competition, losing 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire in final.

The Atlas Lions of Morocco are the highest ranked team in Africa, while the Terangha Lions occupy second spot.

Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire complete the top five teams on the continent.

The next edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking will be published on 4 April.
