Strasbourg Star Headlines South Africa’s 23 Man Squad To Face Nigeria

Strasbourg’s Lebo Mothiba has been included in South Africa’s 23-man squad list to face Nigeria in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. The 22-year old striker has now scored 6 goals in 8 appearances for the Ligue 1 side in his debut season.

The Bafana Bafana are set to host the Super Eagles at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, November 17, after winning the first leg of the encounter 2-0 in Uyo last year.

The list released by head coach Stuart Baxter consists of 19 home-based players and 4 foreign professionals which includes Union SG’s Percy Tau, who is on loan from Premier League side Brighton.

Nigeria currently leads Group E gaining nine points from four games, one point ahead of second-placed South Africa.

The three-time African champions are just a win away from booking their spot in next year’s AFCON.
