Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020: Yusuf, Samuel Shine On Matchday 9

COAS Shooters’ Samora Samuel and Muinat Yusuf of Adorable Angels were named MVP in the men’s and women’s categories respectively even though they enjoyed contrasting fortunes on Matchday 9 in the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020.

Yusuf was excellent as Adorable Angels, buoyed by the presence of Kwara State sports commissioner, Mrs Joanna Kolo, completed a ruthless 33-20 evisceration of Desert Queens at the MKO Abiola National Stadium on Sunday.

Other games in the women’s draw saw Defender Babes dispatch Benue Queens 36-25, Edo Dynamos remained unbeaten after a 27-18 victory over Kada while Plateau Peacocks edged Imo Grasshoppers 18-16.

In the men’s category, former champions Niger United are still winless and remain rooted to the bottom of the log after seven matches following another defeat, this time at the hands of  Lagos Seasiders Boys who ran out 27-22 victors.

Elsewhere, Kada Stars defeated Confluence Stars 27-21 while Plateau Vipers overcame COAS Shooters 34-27 despite the best efforts of the electric Samuel.

In other matches decided on Sunday, Safety Shooters downed Delta Force 29-15 while De Defenders defeated Borno Spiders 34-28.
