President Buhari Expected To Grace Closing Ceremony of 19th NSF With New Hosts To Be Announced

President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) is expected to head the dignitaries expected at the closing ceremony of the 2018 National Sports Festival at the Abuja National Stadium according to programme of events for the closing ceremony released by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and chairman of the Main Organising Committee(MOC), Olusade Adesola.

The event scheduled for 4:30 pm officially marks the end of the 19th edition of the NSF which has seen Delta State outperform other states to emerge winners of the Festival which began on 6 December 2018.

According to the MOC, the closing ceremony will be a blend of entertainment, sports and cultural display designed to give the people of Abuja and the sports community a great spectacle in grand style.

Lined up to perform at the event are A-list artistes led by ‘penalty’ crooner, Small Doctor, alongside Sheyi Shay, Skales, CDQ, Funbi and Dice Ailes while cultural exhibitions will be performed by Linek Ovie Mensah.

The ceremony which will be beamed live by the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria will witness the announcement of the Host City for the 20th edition by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is scheduled to present certificates of participation and trophies to winning states.
