Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro has reiterated that the team will fight to win the fast-approaching 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that the three-time AFCON champions have been grouped alongside hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.
However, in a chat with NFF TV, the Portuguese tactician stated that Nigeria’s group opponents won’t come easy to beat.

“We will fight to win the AFCON even though it won’t be easy.
“Our group is not easy because we are up against Cote d’Ivoire, who have a good squad and are playing at home.
“Equatorial Guinea reached quarterfinal at the last AFCON, better than Nigeria, while Guinea-Bissau beat us at home (in the qualifiers).
The Super Eagles will commence their campaign against Equatorial Guinea on January 14.
