NPFL: Remo Stars Floor Lobi, Akwa United Stumble Again

Remo Stars reclaimed top spot in the Nigeria Premier Football League following a 2-0 victory against Lobi Stars in Ikenne on Thursday.

Sikiru Alimi gave the hosts the lead from a header in the 91st minute.

Adams Olamilekan pounced on a loose ball in the area and slammed home the second goal deep into stoppage time.

At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Evans Ogbonda scored the winning goal as Bendel Insurance defeated Abia Warriors 1-0.

Niger Tonardoes also defeated Kano Pillars 1-0 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

Bashir Usman netted the winner in stoppage time.

Sporting Lagos and Bayelsa United battled to a 1-1 draw at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

The visitors took the lead through Robert Mizo on 24 minutes.
