NPFL: Kano Pillars Set Up Committee On Players’ Fitness

Reigning Aiteo Cup Champions Kano Pillars have constituted a five-man Adhoc committee to work alongside the club’s backroom staff to improve the level of fitness of the team.

The committee will have ten days to devise a methodology to be implemented by the club in assessing and improving the fitness levels of current and prospective players ahead of the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

According to a club statement, the committee will be headed by Aminu Muhammad China while Professor Musa Garba Yakasai, Bashir Idris Mu’azu, Muhammad Musa and Rabiu Isyaku will serve as members.

Meanwhile, Pillars who were knocked out in the preliminary stage of this season’s CAF Champions League lost their latest preseason warmup match 3-2 against newly-promoted NPFL side Jigawa Golden Stars at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano on Sunday.
