NPFL: Ilechuchkwu in Need of Psychologist At MFM (AUDIO)

Despite defeating Kwara United 2-0 at home on Wednesday, MFM FC coach Fidelis Ilechukwu says the ‘Church Boys’ need the services of a psychologist to excel in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.

An own goal from Segun Alebiosu and a Kabiru  Adeniji headed-goal ensured MFM grabbed the 3 points at stake before their home fans at the Agege Stadium in their second match of the season, that follows an opening day 2-0 loss to Enyimba on Sunday in Aba.

Apparently not pleased with the performance of his team against Harmony Boys, the vocal tactician stressed the need for a psychologist in his team.

“Only the goals made the difference in the match,” Ilechukwu said. “But in terms of the game, possession of the ball and some other things, there were lapses. But we thank God for today’s game (Wednesday’s) because we won.

“I think MFM still need a psychologist as well to help this team. I’ve said it before, nobody will do it alone in the NPFL; it is so difficult.

“I think it’s going to help us because now, (the NPFL) is tough. I cannot say because we won today (Wednesday) and say that ‘we are doing best’, we are not. I am complaining but I cannot continue.

“To me so far, I’ve told them (the management) what I think we need. It is beyond me alone. We need some hands; especially we need a psychologist to help this team as well.”
