NPFL: Akwa United Boss Rues ‘Disappointing Defeat’ To Rangers

Akwa United caretaker coach Umar Abdullahi says his side deserved more from their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 20 encounter against Rangers.

The Promise Keepers lost 1-0 to the Coal City outfit at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu on Sunday.

Kazeem Ogunleye’s 48 minutes strike separated both teams on the night.

Abdullahi reckoned that the Uyo club were unfortunate to lose the game.

“it’s unfortunate that we didn’t get anything out of this match. The boys gave their all and their level of commitment and determination was encouraging,” he told the club’s media.
