Nigerian Striker Fanendo Adi Exits Portland Timbers

Nigerian striker Fanendo Adi has left Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Portland Timbers.

His exit was confirmed by the club’s website on Saturday night before his final appearance in the colours of Portland Timbers.

The 27-year-old came off the bench in the 75th minute before scoring the winning goal on 85 minutes to give the team a 2-1 win over Houston Dynamo

His next destination is currently unknown but he leaves the club with an enviable scoring record of 53 goals in 125 MLS regular season appearances.

He also won the 2015 MLS Cup with the club.

‘On his exit, Former Nigeria U23 player Fanendo Adi said: “I came (to the Timbers) as a young boy, but now I’m a man. There comes a time in life where, sometimes, you move on, but the Portland Timbers will always be a family, to me.”

”I’m just grateful for everything I got from the organization.” He concluded.
