Arsenal Blow As Kolasinac Is Ruled Out With Knee Injury

Premier League giants Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow just before the start of the new league season following the news that defender Sead Kolasinac will miss eight to ten weeks due to a knee injury.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina left-back suffered the injury earlier this week in a friendly match with rivals Chelsea in the International Champions Cup (ICC) in Dublin.

He was hurt in a challenge with Nigeria international forward Victor Moses of Chelsea and is now expected to miss eight league games, two UEFA Europa League (UEFA) matches and the Carabao Cup third round.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery confirmed the former Schalke 04 player’s injury status on Friday ahead of Saturday’s friendly with Italian side Lazio and also revealed that Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey will return to training next week after a little calf problem.

The former Cardiff City star injured his calf just before the Chelsea game.
