Nigeria, England Friendly Is In The Works – NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) through its Secretary General, Mohammed Sanusi, has revealed that an international friendly match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and England is in the works.

According to Sanusi, the friendly match will be played in June before revealing that other details of the match are still being worked out.

In his words via SkySports, Sanusi said: “We plan to play a friendly against England in June, before the World Cup.”

England and Nigeria met in an international friendly at the Wembley Stadium in November 1994. David Platt’s goal was enough to give the Three Lions a 1-0 victory.

Both countries played out a goalless draw during their last competitive meeting in the group stages of the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan.
