Nigerian-born England striker Ike Ugbo has joined English League One outfit Scunthorpe United on loan from Chelsea.

The 19-year-old joins the Irons from the Premier League giants on a short-term loan until January.

His loan transfer was confirmed by Scunthorpe United earlier on Thursday.

He becomes the fourth Nigerian to be loaned out this summer after Ola Aina (Torino), Kenneth Omeruo (Leganes) and Fikayo Tomori (Derby County).

The England U20 international spent last season on loan at League One sides Barnsley and MK Dons.

Ike Ugbo has been handed the number nine jersey as he bids to spearhead their promotion chase to the English Championship.
