Moses Makes BBC African Award Shortlist

Super Eagles star Victor Moses has made the shortlist for the BBC African Footballer of the Year Award for 2017.

The Chelsea winger was part of a 5-man shortlist announced during a special live launch broadcast in London on Saturday.

Moses, who is also on a 30-man shortlist for the CAF African Football of the Year Award for 2017,  was nominated alongside Sadio Mane (Senegal and Liverpool), Naby Keita (Guinea and RB Leipzig), Mohamed Salah (Egypt and Liverpool) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon and Borussia Dortmund).

The other nominees were also named on the CAF African Footballer of the Year Award shortlist

Victor Moses played an important role to help Chelsea win the 2016/17 English Premier League (EPL) title ahead of city rivals Tottenham Hotspur and moneybags Manchester City.

After his nomination, Moses is bidding to become the first Nigerian player to win the award since Jay-Jay Okocha in 2004.

The winner of this year’s BBC African Award will be announced on Monday, December 11, 2017.
