Prudent Energy Handball Premier League: Unbeaten Safety Shooters Lead Men’s Pack, Benue Queens Relegated

Safety Shooters maintained their unbeaten run at the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020 and continued their stay on the top of the men’s table with a ninth straight win on Matchday 12.

Shooters defeated Confluence Stars 29-23 on Wednesday at Indoor Sports Hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja to stay on course for a first league title.

In other results in the men’s category, Plateau Vipers remain deep in relegation waters after a 29-33 loss to De Defenders while Niger United climbed out of the drop zone to 9th with their second victory in the tournament, a 34-25 victory over Delta Force.

Rima Strikers are now in the top 4 after they beat COAS Shooters 40-31.

In the women’s category, Safety Babes kept their place on top of the league standings after a 31-26 victory against Seasiders Babes while closest rivals Edo Dynamos are still unbeaten and produced the performance of the day in a come-from-behind 23-22 win over Plateau Peacocks.

Meanwhile, Benue Queens have been relegated to the Division One despite a beautiful but ultimately futile 32-29 victory over Kada Queens.
