Newcastle legend Alan Shearer believes Manchester City are still favourite to win the Premier League title.

He made this assertion on the backdrop of the Citizen’s goalless draw against Arsenal in Sunday’s EPL game at the Etihad Stadium.

The result leaves Liverpool to sit top of the table after victory over Brighton, with Arsenal second and Manchester City third.

However, in a chat with BBC Sport, Shearer insisted that Man City remains favourite to win the title.

“At the moment it is advantage Liverpool, and Arsenal are not going away, but, with nine games to go, I still see Manchester City as favourites for the Premier League title.

“That feeling is not really based on how City are playing right now, though. Pep Guardiola’s side are on a long unbeaten run,
