Liberian President-elect George Weah has tasked Ivorian football legend Didier Drogba to follow his footsteps by leading his country.

1995 World Footballer of the Year Weah emerged victorious after the Liberian presidential elections on Wednesday and he has called on Drogba to follow the same path.

The former AC Milan, Chelsea and AS Monaco striker made this known via his official Twitter handle. He tweeted: “Thanks Didier for the support, we are both conscious and aware of the fate of our people. Follow the same path.”
