Levante have secured their Spanish La Liga status for next season after they defeated Sevilla 2-1 at home in a Matchday 35 clash played on Friday night.

Roger gave the hosts an 11th minute lead only for young Spanish striker Carlos Fernandez to equalise for Vincenzo Montella five minutes later.

Jose Luis Morales then struck the winner for Levante with sixteen minutes left on the clock.

The win was an important one for Levante which guaranteed La Liga safety for another season.

Levante (40 points) move above Espanyol (39 points) into 16th place due to the win while Sevilla (48 points) stay in 7th spot.
