Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun, who suffered a shoulder injury three weeks ago, is back in training and could be a possible feature in the Super Eagles’ upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final qualifying match against Seychelles and the international friendly with Egypt this month.
The Brighton & Hove Albion defender confirmed his return to training with a picture of himself in training with the caption, “Still alive smiling as usual.”
Balogun last featured for Albion in their FA Cup 4th round win against West Brom on February 6.
The former Mainz defender was a key member in Nigeria’s qualification for the 2019 AFCON, after appearing at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and will look to remain fit till the tournament kicks off in Egypt in June.
