Real Betis have moved above Girona and city rivals Sevilla into the European places after they defeated hosts Getafe 1-0 in their Spanish La Liga Matchday 30 clash played on Monday night.

Sergio Leon turned out to be the hero for the visitors as he scored the only goal of the game with a minute left on the clock to hand his side the three points at stake.

Getafe were left to rue the missed opportunity they had in tie 65th minute with Francisco Portillo failing to convert from the penalty spot after Antonio Adan pulled off a double save.

The win takes Real Betis (46 points) two places from 8th to 6th spot (one of the UEFA Europa League spots) while Getafe stay in 11th position with 39 points from the 30 games played this season.
