Gernot Rohr Begins Shopping For AFCON 2019

Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has revealed that plans are underway for him to send out his assistants to scout for players that ply their trade in the Nigeria Professional Football League for integration into Super Eagles 2019 AFCON squad.

Speaking on SuperSports Monday Night Football, the Franco-German coach said only the best legs who are willing to play will be selected to fight for shirts.

“As soon as the Nigeria Professional Football League kicks off, Salisu Yusuf will help search for good legs from the northern parts of the country, while Imma Amakapo will do findings from the East. Alloy Agu is there to help search for players from Lagos and other western states while I also do my own personal findings.

“With all these, I can assure you we will be having a great outing in Cameroon. Don’t quote me wrong, the players I’m aiming at are those who play regular football in their various clubs.”

Rohr will look to fortify his team with the best legs from the local league after much criticism from stakeholders in Nigerian football.
