FA Cup Heartbreak For Ndidi, Iheanacho

Super Eagles duo Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho have been knocked out of the FA Cup at the quarterfinals stage after Leicester fell 1-0 to Chelsea at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Chelsea progress to the semifinals joining Manchester United who beat Norwich on Saturday and Arsenal who needed a Dani Ceballos 91st-minute winner to beat Sheffield United in Sunday’s early kickoff.

While Ndidi was on for the entirety of the encounter, Iheanacho failed to see a minute of action as Chelsea substitute Ross Barkley’s 63rd-minute strike booked a Wembley date for the Blues.

Leicester’s loss means the Foxes are yet to win a game since the restart and their previously impressive campaign is in danger of petering out.

With the subtext to the encounter being the battle for a third place in the league with Leicester a point above Chelsea on the log, the victory will boost the Blues’ confidence of finishing above the Foxes.
