Etebo Tasks Eagles To Take World Cup Warm Up Friendlies Serious

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has urged the team to take all the World Cup friendly games and training sessions seriously.

Gernot Rohr’s team has already played high profile international friendlies against Argentina, Poland and Serbia with games against DR Congo, England and Czech Republic still to come ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Etebo was speaking in a chat with Vanguard, in his words, he said: “The match against DR Congo will be a very tough one but it’s also very important we win to boost our morale. We need to take all games and training sessions seriously from now on.”

“All the players know how important it is for us to succeed at the World Cup and I am 100% sure we won’t disappoint our fans.” he added.

He further stressed the importance of staying fit. The former Warri Wolves star said: “Injury is one thing you cannot take away from the game but I am doing everything to stay injury-free and every other player is doing same. Apart from the World Cup, it’s important one stays out of injury.”[tps_header][/tps_header]
