Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly has signed for Roc Nation Sports formed by Jay-Z under his Roc Nation brand.

Roc Nation Sports are moving into the football world with an earlier signing of Bailly’s United team-mate, Romelu Lukaku who parted ways with his long-standing agent Mino Raiola.

They already have some of the biggest stars from US sports in basketball, baseball, American Football as well as boxing, including NBA star Kevin Durant. They also boast Bayern Munich’s Germany defender, Jerome Boateng.

The deal will be officially announced next week but it comes at an interesting time for Bailly who has lost his place in the starting line-up at Old Trafford despite his recent impressive displays for Ivory Coast.

Tottenham Hotspurs are one of many clubs monitoring developments with Bailly at United as Mauricio Pochettino has been a long-term admirer of the Ivorian defender.

There would be no shortage of interest if Bailly was to leave Old Trafford for another club.

Roc Nation Sports majorly looks after money-spinning image rights deals for their growing list of sports stars and it is likely they will continue their spread into the Premier League market.
