Enyimba Stadium Pitch Installation Is Underway, Contractor Confirm

The Enyimba Stadium pitch installation has started according to the contractor handling the construction work at the arena, Monimichelle.

Work has entered the final phase with the installation of the pitch as confirmed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe via ThisDay on Wednesday.

Ebi Egbe revealed that his Nigerian workers have started the installation job as he added that the expatriates would arrive from Italy at the weekend.

In his words, Ebi Egbe said: “As we speak, we have moved to site to start installation of the geo-tech pitch. We have cleared the consignment from Onne Port and ready to get the job completed.”

“Gov Ikpeazu is keen to see Enyimba back home and we would on our part do our best to see that the job is completed in a matter of weeks.” he added.

Ebi Egbe also revealed that his desire is for the stadium to be ready before the resumption of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) after the World Cup with Enyimba scheduled to host Ivorian side Williamsville on July 17.

Monimichelle has widely been praised over the job it did at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
