Super Eagles defender Brian Idowu has joined Lokomotiv Moscow from fellow Russian side Amkar Perm.
Brian Idowu, 25, joins Russian Premier League champions Lokomotiv Moscow on a free transfer and has signed a three-year deal with the UEFA Champions League (UCL) campaigners.
He left Amkar Perm earlier this summer after they were relegated to the third division due to financial difficulties.
Brian Idowu was part of the Super Eagles squad to the ongoing FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
He started all the three Group D games for the three-time African champions but was powerless as they were eliminated in the group stage.
While speaking about his transfer, Brian Idowu expressed his excitement as he said: “I am very glad to join Lokomotiv. I’m really looking forward to joining the team at their training camp. As a child I watched the matches of Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League.”
