DreamStar FC Ladies Name UEFA B Licensed Coach, Sheriff Tajudeen As Consulting Head Coach

In a bid to change the fortunes of DreamStar FC Ladies, currently languishing second bottom in Nigeria’s top tier women’s football league, the Chairman of the Club, Abolore AbdulRahmon announced the appointment of UK-based UEFA B Licenced Coach, Sheriff Tajudeen as a Consulting Head Coach on Tuesday.

Abolore highlighted this appointment as “a positive move for the club as we look to rapidly start climbing up the table”.

“Mr Sheriff is a personal friend of mine and after a few discussions with him, he has graciously accepted to offer his expertise in the capacity of a Consulting Head Coach”. he noted.

Sheriff comes with a wealth of experience and exposure having coached across all spectrums of English football from grassroots and semi professional level to the Premier League with Watford FC during their top-flight days.

In his remarks, Coach Sheriff said he was delighted to be involved with the team having watched them in training and at a friendly match.

“I have watched the girls play and train and they are quite a bunch of delightful and talented girls who are capable of being higher up the table than they currently are,” he said.

“I’m happy to be involved in the capacity of a consulting head coach which not only focuses on the first 11 but the club as a whole.

“I’m hoping the fans are as excited as I am about this development as we collectively work together to get this team back to the top.

“Remember, we are the pride of Lagos,” he remarked.

DreamStar Ladies play their first match under Coach Sheriff on Wednesday, 17 February, against Pelican Stars by 4:00pm at the Agege Stadium.
