DR Congo Delegation Arrives Nigeria Ahead Of Eagles Clash

Players and officials of DR Congo touched down in the Rivers State capital of Port Harcourt on Thursday night ahead of their international friendly clash at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Monday.

Established European stars likes Gael Kakuta, Benik Afobe and Cedric Bakambu were part of the delegation which included 28 players.

DR Congo, also known as the Simba, missed out on qualification for the World Cup to Tunisia but will use the friendly game with Nigeria to perfect plans for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers which started some 11 months ago.

The first and only game played by the team saw them beat neighbouring Congo 3-1.
