Tottenham Boost! Long-Term Injury Absentees Return To Training

London club Tottenham Hotspur have been provided with a timely boost after long-term injury absentees Danny Rose and Erik Lamela returned to first-team training.

27-year old left-back Danny Rose has not played since he sustained a knee injury in January while Argentina midfielder Lamela, 25, has not featured for the team in almost a year because of hip problems.

Lamela last played in a 2-1 defeat at Liverpool in October 2016 and has battled with problems on both hips since then prompting his omission from the Tottenham’s squad for the group stages of this season’s Champions League.

Danny Rose’s last appearance came against Sunderland on January 31.

Tottenham host Bournemouth this Saturday knowing they have a lot of grounds to make up in the Premier League title race with the team in third and five points behind leaders Manchester City and second-placed Manchester United.
