Dessers provided the assist for Rangers’ first goal scored in the 10th minute.

He then got on the score sheet to put the Scottish Premiership giants 2-1 ahead.

The win saw Rangers finish as group winners on 11 points after six games.

Sparta Prague placed second on 10 points while Real Betis and Aris Limassol placed third and fourth respectively.

In Group D, Ademola Lookman did not feature in Atalanta’s 4-0 away to Rakow Częstochowa.

The Serie A club topped the table on 14 points while Sporting Lisbon was second on 11 points.

Also in Group H, Victor Boniface was an unused substitute in Bayer Leverkusen’s 5-1 home win against Molde.

Leverkusen claimed top spot in the group with Qarabag occupying second position.
