Bundesliga Update: Bayern Squander Two-Goal Lead In First Post-Ancelotti Game

Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti was sacked by Bayern Munich last week but nothing seems to have changed under his interim replacement Willy Sagnol after the team squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with their opponents Hertha Berlin just like what happened in the last league game of Ancelotti’s reign.

Bayern had led 2-0 with goals from Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski either side of halftime before two goals in four second half minutes courtesy Ondrej Duda and Ivorian international forward Salomon Kalou ensured that the hosts earned a point from the encounter.

The draw means German champions Bayern Munich has lost further ground in the title race with the team now five points adrift of leaders Borussia Dortmund though the point was enough to move the team from 3rd to 2nd position after TSG Hoffenheim lost 3-2 at Freiburg.
