Arsenal Create Unwanted Record In Home Loss Against West Ham

Arsenal suffered their first home loss in the Premier League following a 2-0 loss to West Ham at the Emirates.

Tomas Soucek opened the scoring for West Ham in the first half after slotting home Jarrod.Bowen’s cutback.

Early in the second half former Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos doubled the lead with a header from James Ward-Prowse corner.

It is now back-to-back defeats for Arsenal against West Ham this season.

David Moyes’ side beat Arsenal 3-1 in the Carabao Cup in November.

Following the defeat, this is the first time on record a Premier League team has had 77 touches in the opposition box without scoring.

A win for the Gunners would have taken them above Liverpool to top spot in the league table.

Mikel Arteta’s men are on 40 points and two points behind the Reds.
