African Games 2023: Ekanem, Olajide Qualify For Men’s, Women’s 200m Finals

Olayinka Olajide has qualified for the final of the women’s 200m final at the African Games 2023.

Olajide earned a resounding win in the second semi-final, winning in 23.51 seconds.

She beat the duo of Claudine Niarasoa of Madagascar and Gabon’s Perrick Linda Moulin to second and third place respectively.

Niarasoa clocked 23.97 seconds to place second while Moulin was third with a time of 24.03 seconds.

In the men’s category, Consider Ekanem also booked his place into the men’s 200m final.

Ekanem finished second in the first semi-finals, running 20.92 seconds behind Itoungue Claude Emmanuel of Cameroon who ran 20.83 seconds to win.

Homeboy, Solomon Hammond of Ghana was third clocking 21.02 seconds.
