Halimatu Ayinde has described youngster Deborah Abiodun as the next superstar in the Super Falcons.

Abiodun made a return to the Falcons in their 2024 WAFCON first leg, playoff game against Cape Verde in Abuja.

Despite last featuring for the Falcons in their opening game at this year’s FIFA women’s World Cup, Abiodun was named Player of the Match against Cape Verde.

Reacting to the Player of the Match award, Ayinde encouraged Abiodun to keep doing well.

“Shoutout to my incredible girl
@Abiodundebby100 for a stellar Player of the Match performance against Cape Verde!“ Ayinde wrote on X.

“I am not surprised by your progress. You’re truly our next superstar ⚽ Your skill, dedication, and passion on the field inspire us all. Keep shining girl! .”

Abiodun is expected to be in action for the Falcons in the second leg
