French Ligue 1 moneybags Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have moved nine points clear at the top of the table after they secured a 2-1 win at champions AS Monaco.

Edinson Cavani and Neymar (penalty) scored either side of halftime to give PSG a 2-0 lead before the home side fought back through Portuguese international midfielder Joao Moutinho with eight minutes for a grandstand finish to proceedings.

Unai Emery’s men however held on for a very good win to move nine points clear of their hosts in the race for the league title while Monaco drop one place from 2nd to 3rd after Lyon’s heavy win at Nice.

Dutch international Memphis Depay (2) and former Real Madrid starlet Mariano Diaz were on target as Lyon ran riot at Nice in a 5-0 win to leapfrog Monaco into second spot by virtue of goal difference.
