2024 WAFCONQ: Madugu Upbeat Super Falcons Will Beat Cape Verde Again

Super Falcons interim head coach Justin Madugu is confident his side will record another resounding victory against Cape Verde in their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The nine-time African champions thrashed Cape Verde 5-0 in the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja last week.

Cape Verde will need to score six goals without conceding to beat Nigeria to the 2024 WAFCON ticket.

Madugu however said his team want to do double over their hosts.

“We are not taking anything into chance with the blend of players that we have. We are not taking anything for granted. We are here to play and win irrespective of the position. We will try and impress so that they can get disgraced at home,” Madugu said in a short video posted on the team’s X handle.
