Former Nigeria international Ifeanyi Udeze has advised Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro to discard the idea of introducing the 3-4-3 formation.

Peseiro introduced the formation in the Eagles’ friendly game against Guinea on Monday which they lost 2-0.

The Portuguese mostly favours the 4-3-3 and also the 4-4-2 formations.

Reacting to the idea of introducing the formation as the team prepare for the AFCON 2023, Udeze said the Eagles don’t have the players to utilize it.

“I think he should discard the idea of introducing the 3-4-3 formation in the Super Eagles because for you to operate the formation, your wingbacks must be fast. Unfortunately our wingbacks are not fast and also not comfortable on the ball,” he said on Brila FM.
