2019 FIBA World Cup: Nigeria To Battle Côte d’Ivoire In First Classification Match

Nigeria’s D’Tigers will battle Côte d’Ivoire on Friday at the City Arena in Guangzhou, in their opening match of the classification round at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China after managing a win against Korea on Wednesday.

The match is the first game for the Nigerian male senior team in the classification 17-32 of the tournament, and will come up at 9:00 am Nigeria time.

The 2015 Afrobasket champions will then take on hosts China in their second classification match at the same venue on Sunday.

Nigeria had finished third in Group B following loses against Russia and Argentina, dropping to the classification round which can, in the long run, give them a ticket to the 2020 Olympic Games.
