10-Man PSG Survive Late Scare To Secure League Cup Final Spot

Defending champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are through to the French League Cup final after they survived a late scare to seal a 3-2 win over their hosts Stade Rennes in their semi-final clash on Tuesday night.

The capital club had raised into a three-goal lead through goals from Thomas Meunier, Marquinhos and Giovani Lo Celso before a 63rd minute red card by Kylian Mbappe proved to be very costly.

Stade Rennes fought back with late goals from debutant Diafra Sakho and Sanjin Prcic but the hosts failed to find a crucial third goal to take the game to extra time.

PSG will now meet the winner of Wednesday’s semi-final clash between French champions AS Monaco and Montpellier.
